Research and explore the barriers faced by BAME (black, Asian and minority ethnic) employees in career progression from multiple perspectives and offer recommendations for advancing diverse talent for the Black British Business Awards (BBBAwards).
A report led by Dr. Doyin Atewologun exposed the barriers faced by BAME employees in career progression in the UK. It also revealed disconnected and thus ineffective approaches adopted by four stakeholder groups (HR, D&I, Employee Resource Groups and Executive-level D&I Sponsors/Champions) within companies trying to address the issue.
The report is the basis for the design and development of the BBBAwards’ BAME Talent Accelerator Programme which was designed and delivered in collaboration with Delta Alpha Psi and The BBBAwards.
